The goal of Aces Up! HD
is to get your aces to the top of each column and discard everything else.
: A card can be removed when a higher value card of the same suit is at the bottom of another column (it must be at the bottom, completely uncovered). So, if the first column has a seven of hearts at the bottom and the second column has an eight of hearts at the bottom, you can discard the seven of hearts.
: If you can't discard anything, the DRAW Button
delivers four new cards from the deck, one for each column. The number below the button indicates how many draws you have left.
: If a column is empty, you can drag a card from the bottom of another column to fill it. Be smart about using any empty spaces you clear. Don't just put any old card in there-- you might be able to chain a few moves together and discard even more cards.
are the high card in Aces Up! HD
, and the goal is to get them to the top of each column. When you first draw an ace, you'll notice a plane attached to it. You can spend the plane to move the ace to the bottom of any column, even if it's not empty.
: If you move the ace to an empty column with its plane attached, it becomes a Flying Ace. You can use Flying Aces to blast away unwanted cards or save them for your squadrons.
Try to save your Flying Aces for when you really need them. And if you end up not needing them, even better!
: If you made a mistake and want a do-over, the UNDO Button
lets you take back the last move. You can undo as many times as you want.
: Each column has an indicator at the bottom, letting you know the suit of the bottommost card. You can also just look at the cards, but the flags provide a quick at-a-glance view.
: Get all four aces to the top of each column and discard the rest of the cards to achieve victory. When you win, every unused Flying Ace left on screen joins your squadron.
: If you run out of moves, your game is over. At this point, you can undo your last move or start a new hand. If you realize early that your game is doomed or just want to start over, you can start a new hand at any point. It will reset your cards, but not your squadron progress.
Squadrons and Ranks
: As you collect and save Flying Aces, they go into your squadrons. Filling squadrons helps you advance in rank. There are 40 ranks to climb, represented by the mascots and good luck charms that appear on your radar cover. When you reach ranks 10, 20, 30 and 40, you'll receive new Badges!
To tell how many planes you have in your squadron, look for the blue plane button
next to your rank icon. Your radar shows all the Flying Aces you've collected for your current squadron progress
