Here's some help from another thread about reaching 200k however should work well in your case:

While it's not easy to reach 200k, it's very doable. Try and set up chain reactions in the middle of the board, try and NOT match more than 3 trizzles at a time and if you have to waste a move to set up a combo, that's the best way to go. You can score fairly well up to Level 12 which I consider 'the wall'. If you reach Level 12 and have more than 15 moves left, you can reach Level 13. If you have more than 10 moves left when reaching Level 14, you should be able to score 200,000 points.

matches on the bottom or on the edges. Hope this helps.

This is exactly right - the big "natural" scores will come when you make more center-ific mega matches - it's even worth it to sacrifice a non-matching move in order to set up that centered mega-match.

Another contributing factor to a natural 200,000 is playing slowly and planning out each move well in advance. It's not my style of play, but it does help get the bigger scores.

I agree, a simple warning like the one they give on the Parlor games and the table games would be great. (albeit annoying) But, I doubt that will happen. You can send your idea to Pogo by using the Letters to the Editor. Use your own email account and send it to editor@pogo.com. Though he will not like answer you personally, your suggestion may be passed on to the powers that be.

I don't blame you for being frustrated. I would be too. Sorry this happened. BUT at least you know about this, moving forward.

If I may suggest, next time, use another tab and log into Pogo again and purchase your gems. Then close the tab and you're game will still be there and you can continue with your Gems updated.

Thank you for your response and suggestions. I don't play Pogo a lot even though I have been a member for years. This is only my second purchase of gems and I had no idea I was leaving Pogo's website since I followed a link they provided.
My main concern is that Pogo should warn you that if you click the link, you will be taken off the website and lose all progress in your game. The way it is set up now, you think you are buying gems to continue the game you are currently playing. A simple pop up warning would stop people from leaving the website unknowingly, losing money and losing game progress.

I had my score up over 300,000 points, with the help of the power ups that I purchased. However I ran out of gems, and I wanted to purchase more "Extra Life" power ups and continue my game, so I clicked on the "Add Gems" button. BIG MISTAKE!

I was taken to the gem store, and my game completely disappeared! :o

After purchasing more gems, I had to start all over again. I got no credit for that high-scored game, so all the gems I spent were a giant waste of money for me. :(

I sure wish Pogo would have a warning, about this issue, in the "How to Play" tab.

I guess I need to make it a point to read ALL the comments in the forums before playing ANY Pogo game. The EXACT thing that happened to KookMop happened to me as well.
1. Used multiple power ups in the game that I had previously purchased.
2. Wanted to purchase more Extra Life Power ups, but needed additional gems to complete the purchase.
3. Arrived at Gem Store - Bye Bye Game Progress.

Not only did I lose the game I was playing but all the power ups that I previously purchased and used in that game poofed with it. A total waste of money!!

I followed the link that Pogo provided and I am out money with no warning whatsoever.

How hard would it be to post a warning message that your progress will be lost if you purchase gems? Better yet, why don't you fix the game where you don't lose progress?

This happened several times during the game so had to move on to another play. I see I am not the only one affected by this. Needs to be fixed,

Your zoom shouldn't be higher than 100 percent. Anything higher than 100 percent will cause the issue you've described.

They are speaking Spanish~ They are saying things like~ "Soy loquita!" (I'm crazy!) ..and "Lista!" (which can mean either Smart,or Ready!) Also I've heard "otra vez" (again) and "ahi voy!" (There I go!)
