The primary goal in this free online puzzle game is to remove enough animals from the playfield to reach the final level. Matching the special pieces in the final level sends the animals off on a vacation and you win the game.

Grab any animal you choose by clicking on it, no matter of how many other animals are stacked on top of it. Move that animal (or group of animals) to any other part of the playfield and drop it by releasing the mouse button. By placing five or more animals of the same type next to each other (touching either vertically or horizontally), you'll make a match and those animals will disappear. Any animals stacked above the matching animals will fall into the empty space left behind.

Every time you make a move, the pressure gauge on the left side of the screen gets closer to the red zone. Once the needle gets into the red zone, you have only one move before a new row of animals comes into the playfield. If any animals fall over the fence as a result of a row being added, you'll lose one life pack per animal from the right side of the screen.

As you make matches, you earn points. You will also make progress toward the next level, as represented by the "Level" indicator on the left side of the screen. Every time you advance a level, a special piece (round with a star) gets added into the playfield. If you can make it to the final level and match all five special pieces, you win the game and earn a Jackpot spin!

Keep an eye out for power-ups that appear from time to time. Bombs allow you to remove large groups of animals at the same time, while the Freeze temporarily stops the pressure gauge from advancing.

Here are some tips and tricks to help you succeed in Stack'em - a fun turn-based puzzle game!

Each animal over the fence means one life pack is lost, so be careful or your game could end as the result of one bad move!

Remember, power-ups are only available for the duration of the pressure gauge cycle, but since the game is turn based, you can spend as much time as you like considering the best way to make your match.

If a power-up comes out as a result of a new row entering and you Undo the move, the power-up will not re-appear.

Bomb: The Bomb power-up, when matched along with four or more of the same colored animal, sends off all of the matching animals as well as any animals adjacent to any of the animals that were matched. In other words, if you match a vertical group of five sheep, all animals above, below, to the left, and to the right of each sheep would disappear as well. You can remove large groups of animals this way, and may even trigger a chain or combo as a result of the fallout.

Freeze: The Freeze power-up ices up the pressure gauge, allowing you to make five moves before the pressure begins to build up again.

I activated a weekly challenge 'Canine Conveyor Badge'' which needs 300 dogs to win the badge. Each game I win, the counter displays 0 of 300. The main page also reads 0 of 300. Is this fixable?

Java released a new update today: Java 8.65.
Update to that version and that should solve the problem.
Control Panel > Java > Click on the Update Tab and then click "Update Now."

Stack'em • No advance in rank.

By Corine813 » October 15th, 2015, 5:25 am

Had 10 games to go to advance to the next rank, played the 10 games, but not only did I not advance from 47 rank to 48 rank, it now shows I need 300 more games to play to get to rank 48 again. 300 games is a lot of games to play in Stack Em, I sure don't want to have to play that many all over again, took a few months to play 300 games in the first place

Stack'em • Re: Badge did not appear in album

By Mod_Jada » September 28th, 2015, 7:52 pm

If you were playing while the site was undergoing maintenance then that is the reason why you do not have the badge.
It may have seemed like progress was being recorded, but it really wasn't being recorded or saved.
Unfortunately, lost progress cannot be restored, so the only thing you can do is play again until you win the challenge.
It's always best not to work on badge challenges when the site is having issues.

Stack'em • Badge did not appear in album

By StarTrekker711 » September 28th, 2015, 10:11 am

The Big Yarn badge for the recent weekly Stack'em challenge did not appear in my album after I completed the challenge. Was this a result of Pogo's "problems" over the weekend? How do I get it to show up?

Do you have any mix and match badges? If so, did you know that you could replay them?
You won't get a second badge, but you will get a X2 next to the original badge and it will also count toward the Hammer Time Super Badge.

Are we going to get some extra time to get the 5 badge challenge and some extra credit since the site was the issue and not us. I can't get in to help to ask this question, so please help.

Go back to the game and see if your progress updates after the next game.
If you were playing last night while the site was undergoing maintenance, that means that your progress was not saved, and lost progress cannot be restored.
In that case, all you can do is keep playing until you earn the badge.
