Limit Mode
Limit Mode is a more casual version of No Limit Texas Hold ‘em.  It features a simplified betting system, the ability to join a game in progress, and the option to re-stake and continue playing when out of chips.  Limit Mode does not utilize the ratings feature.

No Limit Mode
No Limit Mode is a tournament-style Hold 'em poker game geared towards the more serious poker player.  In this mode, players stake once and play until only player remains.  Furthermore, betting is wide-open; the user can raise up to his entire stake at any time!  Four players are required to start a game, which gains intensity over time via increasing blinds.  Games can be rated and further regulated by a "rating required" option, which allows players to group by similar skill levels.

Jackpot & Tokens
There are two ways you can earn a Jackpot spin:
  • In Limit Mode, you must win 4 hands (spelling S P I N at the bottom of the screen).
  • In No Limit Mode, you win a Jackpot Spin by being the last player remaining.
The Jackpot Spinner spins like a slot machine. When it stops spinning, you'll win the prize indicated on the spinner or perhaps the JACKPOT itself! Members of Club Pogo are eligible for DOUBLE JACKPOTS!

Stakes & Tables
When you sit down at a table, you will contribute some of your token balance into your "Stake". This represents the amount of tokens you set aside for betting. All players who sit down at a table use the same stake. In this poker game, the nice thing about using a stake instead of your total token balance is that a player with a thousand tokens can play a player with a million tokens and it's still easy to tell who's ahead in the betting.

Practice First!
You're going to be winning and losing real tokens when you play any of the "Roller" rooms. Further, your entire stake is committed in No Limit Mode (that is, you don’t get your stake back unless you win the game; leaving early forfeits all your tokens!). We recommend you practice first by playing in one of the Just For Fun rooms until you're comfortable with the game and the betting process.

Going All-In (No Limit Mode Only):
There is one case where all betting will cease and the remaining community cards will be revealed without further betting.  This occurs when at least one player bets all his tokens, at least one other person calls, and there is no one left with tokens to bet. At this point, since no more bets can be made, the player’s cards are revealed as are the remaining community cards.  The winner is then decided in what is usually a dramatic Showdown.

Hand Rankings:
When hands are revealed, the player with the highest hand wins. Here is a list of the possible hands you could make in poker, listed from highest to lowest.

Straight Flush - Five cards in sequence that are all the same suit. A Royal Flush is a special type of Straight Flush that goes from 10 to Ace.

Four of a Kind - Four cards of the same rank.

Full House - A three of a kind and a pair in the same hand.

Flush - Any five cards of the same suit, but not in sequence.

Straight - A sequence of cards in any suit. Please note that for a Straight, an Ace can be high or low, but it cannot "wrap around". In other words, A-2-3-4-5 is a straight, and 10-J-Q-K-A is a straight, but Q-K-A-2-3 is not.

Three of a Kind - Three cards of the same rank

Two Pair - Two different pairs of cards

One Pair - One pair of cards of the same rank (e.g. Two fours)

High Card - The highest card in your hand.

To explain: If you play in the Limited Game Mode, you only need to win 4 hands to get a JPS. You do not need to eliminate players (bots). Play the Just for Fun Rooms. Good Luck.

Are you playing in the limit or non limit game rooms?

If it has been in the non limit game rooms only, switch
to the limit and see if you have better luck.

Taking A Spin Badge and the requirements are that you win 9 jackpot spins, which equates to eliminating the 3 computers, which I keep doing and it's not accruing my wins.

As hard as it is to eliminate 3 computers in this game, it's not giving me credit to win the badge. What's going on here?

There are no plans right now to change the games in the Club Pogo Tournaments

To play No Limit Texas Hold'em in Tournament Mode, go to the game and look under the Chat Rooms tab.

You will see "Game Mode" and "Room Type."

Tick the buttons next to the options you want.

For this badge you need to win 8 Jackpot Spins.
You need to win 4 hands for each jackpot spin,
You will see the letters of the word "spin" ligth up each time you win, when all 4 lit up you get a spin and one credit towards your badge.

Make sure you are playing "Limit Games" or you won't get credit.
Go to Chat Rooms tab and under "Game Mode" select the option "Limit Games"

No Limit Texas Hold'em • Game will not play

By RJ1385 » March 19th, 2018, 1:50 am

If you stay in a room after a game is completed the next game does not start. Only says waiting for more players even if 4 are sat at table. And if it does start it constantly says the room host has timed out.

Unfortunately, there isn't any way to restore lost progress on any badge. The system just doesn't permit it. Sometimes it's a good idea to leave the table and room every now and then to make sure your progress is being saved.
