The World Awaits
Instead of buying properties like St. James Place and Vermont Avenue, in this online board games version of MONOPOLY, you're buying cities from around the world, like Rome and Barcelona.

Property Management
The goal of this MONOPOLY game is simple: Make as much money as you can, and drive your opponents into bankruptcy.

Travel the Globe
Travel around the board buying properties that aren't owned and paying rent on properties that are owned by other people.

Classic Favorite
Underneath the new property names and the new currency, this is still the same old MONOPOLY board games you've known and loved for years.

When it's your turn in MONOPOLY, you click the "Roll" button to roll the dice and move your MONOPOLY piece the number of spaces indicated on your roll. What happens next depends on the space you land on...

Un-owned property
You can buy the property if you want. If not, the property will get auctioned off to the highest bidder.

Property owned by somebody else
Like the classic board game, you pay the owner rent. The amount of rent you pay depends on whether the space is part of a complete color group or has any houses or hotels or it.

Mortgaged Property
You don't need to pay rent. (Woo hoo!)

Income Tax or Luxury Tax space
You'll need to pay either 2.00M, or 1.00M, respectively.

Community Chest or Chance card
Draw the next card off the deck and do what it says.

If you land on or pass GO, you collect 2.00M!

Jail
Spend some time in the Just Visiting area.

Free Parking
According to official MONOPOLY board game rules, nothing happens. But we know that lots of you like playing with the rule that gives you cash if you land on Free Parking. So in many versions of our house rules, you'll get some money for landing on Free Parking.

Go To Jail
Go to jail! Without a trial even. Boo!

If you roll doubles, then at the end of your current move, you get to roll again. And if you roll doubles after that, you get to roll again. But if you roll doubles three times in a row, you get sent to jail. (Too much of a good thing...)

Here are some additional pointers designed to help you become a more advanced Monopoly The World Edition player.

For those of you who are used to playing classic MONOPOLY board game, you might have noticed the "10% of your wealth" option has gone away on the Income Tax space. It's always just 2.00M now.

One of the keys to winning this MONOPOLY online board game is to collect all the properties in the same color group and build houses and hotels on them. That'll increase the rents and make you the most money.

Some tricky MONOPOLY players won't build hotels. They'll just put as many houses as they can on all the properties they own, so that there aren't any left for their opponents to use!

If you have a choice between mortgaging a property or selling houses and hotels, you should mortgage all you can first. It's a much better deal.

Expert MONOPOLY players like to get out of jail quickly at the beginning of the game, so they don't miss a chance to buy properties. But they sometimes like to stay in jail later in the game because they can avoid paying rent on other players' properties.

If you need to raise cash and want to do it in a jiffy, click the "Mortgage/Sell" button, and then click the Auto Mortgage button in the window that appears.

Nominating a player can be a nice way of wrapping up a game when it's obvious that somebody's going to win. It helps prevent the losing players from getting bored and leaving the game.

Problematic ads should be reported to Pogo using the Help link. Forums are members helping members and we can't fix this issue.

The games are freezing because of the ads, particularly the one that says "Fly over the city" Don't even know what they're trying to sell (no mention of a brand) NOT because of anything we're doing. The "Best Buy" ads are not much better but the first one I mentioned has even stopped the game and sent me back to the "Play People/Play Bots" page

Monopoly H&N: World Edition • New Math? Incorrect Account Balances

By faith552 » December 11th, 2017, 7:16 pm

Has anyone noticed, while playing robots, that the player accounts are not being deducted from correctly? Sometimes I notice that when a robot lands on, say, Tokyo and purchases it, their account balance is not right. They started out with 15M, bought something for 1M, and have 14.20M left?

Just now, I had about 8M and sold a property for 8M and ended up with 8M! The robot who bought had about 5M and it should have had to mortgage several properties to buy it from me, but they were not mortgaged and the robot immediately started building houses. I had waited for this robot to get to the point that I could break them by selling them a property and that they wouldn't be able to afford to build houses. Something was deducted from their account, but it certainly wasn't 8M. Sometimes I notice that a robot is almost broke and all of a sudden they have 6 or 7M. I think someone needs to calibrate the calculator that figures out the account balances!

This has been going on for a long time. At first, I just thought I hadn't been paying attention when the balances seemed off, but after actually watching a lot of transactions, it's not my imagination. This doesn't happen every time, but it seems like it happens at least once per game. And, I admit I don't watch every single transaction for the exact expected balance.

The robots are tricky enough as it is. Sometimes they won't buy or sell anything to you, but will give properties away to another robot, for free, or sell it to them so cheaply that it is annoying.

I have my games freeze 5/10 games. I just have to wait a couple minutes and it will un-freeze on it's own.

I never tell the game to Ignore future trades with the bots. Just View and decline. And, I use Chrome. I ranked out in this game years ago without any troubles.
I never do the ignore thing either-but for more practical reasons-In case the bot lands on and buys a property that I'll need in the future, I don't want to be screwed out of that property

My reply is the same as everyone elses, the game ended, the blue box to click on when it's going to show the scores is still there after 10 clicks.

This isn't the only problem I'm having today, posted in the other ones, of course no answer.

Call me Sick and Tired

And I shouldn't have to replay a game that was finished because of a POGO issue.

Yup, know what you mean. I needed to land on utilities two more times. Finally did, and then the POGO game froze. So, now I have to start a new game, AGAIN. Very frustrating for a long and boring game.

YES! This Has Happened To Me On @ Least 03 Occasions. "Game Not In The Room" Displays After 10-15 Minutes of Waiting To See It I Would Be Allowed To Continue This Long Game. Plus It Records The Game You Could Not Finish As A Loss! - SAD
