How to play

Map Progression: Each square on the map represents a new and unique tile layout. If you have a favorite, you can always go back to that square at any time. Earn Badges for completing the green-colored Dynasty layout squares.

Scores, Time and Stars: Solve puzzles quicker and smarter to get higher scores. See if you can earn a three stars for every level.

Golden Tiles: Matching Golden Tiles grants a bonus score multiplier for each additional tile you match afterwards. Grab these tiles as early as possible to maximize your score!

Key and Locked Tiles: Pesky locked tiles block access to regular tiles on the board. You must find and match the key tiles to remove them from the board!

Time Machine: Nearing the end of the line? To continue your journey to new eras, you'll need to rescue the Time Machine by matching all the tiles on top of it. You have to be fast to catch it. The Time Machine doesn't stick around for long.

Flower Tiles and Season Tiles: The 4 Flowers can be matched with any other Flower tile, and the 4 Season Tiles can match with any other Season Tile.

Change Tiles: Try out different tiles and find the ones you love! It's easy to change your tiles while in game. Select the Menu Button in the upper right hand corner of the game, and then select TILE SETS. Once you've selected a tile, we'll remember it the next time you play!

Pause: Need to take a short break? You can pause the game you're currently in by selecting the Menu button in the upper right hand corner. This will pause the timer until you get back.

Power-ups

Hint: Reveals an available tile match.

Multi-Hint: Reveals up to 4 available tile matches.

Auto-Play: This powerful power-up auto matches up to 5 tiles for you.

Shuffle: Stuck on a layout or run out of moves? Use the Shuffle power-up to re-arrange the remaining tiles.

Joker: Select a tile using this power-up and all matches of that tile will be removed from the layout, even if they're buried under multiple tiles!

Magnet: Have a tile blocking your way? Use the Magnet to move tiles out of the way, so you can match them later.

Time-Freeze: Want to improve your time or having a difficulty uncovering the Time Machine? Use the Time-Freeze power-up to stop the clock for 30 seconds.

Skip: Having trouble with a level? You can always use the skip power-up and move on. You won't get any stars for a skipped level, but you can always come back and try again later.

Follow-up: I just ordered a new mouse, and it should be here Thursday. Thanks again!

Thanks for taking the time to reply, Mod_Jada. The problem seems to have fixed itself, for the most part, thankfully. For the record, my zoom is 100%, but the mouse issue is interesting. I do indeed do a whole lot of clicking with this sucker, and I think I've had it about two years or so. Sounds like it's time for a new one!

Thanks again for your time! :)

First make sure your browser's zoom is set at exactly 100 percent - nothing higher.

While you are on the homepage, hold down the CTRL key and press the Zero key (above the letter P on your keyboard) at the same time. That will bring your zoom back to 100 percent.

Do that BEFORE you go to the game.

Also check your mouse.
Clean it if it's a corded mouse.
Change the battery if it's a cordless mouse.

Consider replacing your mouse if it's old.

All that clicking takes its toll and the left click function wears out over time.

It's a subtle change that you might not notice right away but it can cause the issue you've described.

I replace my mouse at least once a year, sometimes twice a year.

I should add that, after I posted the above, I went and rebooted my computer. It rebooted automatically a few days ago when Microsoft installed updates, but I figured it couldn't hurt to try, so I did it. It didn't help.

Just thought I'd throw that in the mix!

Mahjong Escape • Game play is jerky

By jnkmckay1103 » June 17th, 2018, 3:28 pm

Good morning! I'm having an issue with playing Mahjong Escape. When I click the tiles to remove them, the response is sluggish (a split-second delay between my clicking them and the reaction), and the removed tiles move quite jerkily. When I start out, everything runs smoothly, but after a game or two, things slow down to the point where I find it too frustrating to play. This has only been happening over the last couple of days.

About my computer and what I've tried: First, I'm running Windows 10 with 8 gb RAM on a year-old computer. I usually play in Chrome, but I tried this morning in Firefox, and the response was even worse. I have CCleaner installed and I run it before and after I get online, every time. I have it set to clear my browser caches, as well as Flash cache (and Java, but that's irrelevant for this question). A few times today, I closed out of the game and browser and cleared the caches, to see if that would help, but the effect was negligible.

Interestingly, I've not found that any other Flash games are problematic, nor are any of the Html 5 games (I know that ME is not H5, but it seems like people have more problems with that than Flash, so I find it interesting). I made sure my browsers are the latest version, and reinstalled Flash, just in case. Oh, and I made sure that Flash is not being blocked on my browsers.

So, does anyone have any suggestions to offer as to what else I might try? Worst-case scenario, I suppose I can just play a couple of games at a time, but that gets rather annoying. Any help is appreciated, and I thank you for your time!

Mahjong Escape • Re: No credit after finishing Father's Day 1 challenge

If you are getting pop up to deactivate that badge when you try to activate a new one, then do it. You've got the Badge already, so it will not matter.

Did you re-activate the badge? You only needed to do the challenge once.

You can only have 1 premium badge activated per album.

If you already have a challenge active then you need to de-activate that challenge.

Also if you have a challenge from that game active in another premium album, you would have to either finish that badge 1st or de-activate it.

I have finished the first challenge 2 times but it won't let me go on to the second one. What's the problem?

It helps not to watch the count. LOL Good luck!
No. In this challenge it is the # of tiles. If there are 4 season tiles, you do get credit for 4 season tiles. It is NOT counted in pairs in this challenge

EDITED TO ADD : I guess though, it depends on the challenge. In the recent Father's Day challenge, it IS definitely for individual tiles, not pairs. I assume this person was referring to this challenge, but perhaps not, of course.

There are season tiles and flower tiles in the game.

You might get four season tiles in a puzzle and the next time you might get only two season tiles even when replaying the same puzzle.

The same is true for the flower tiles.
