First Class Solitaire is a classic online solitaire card game with first-class extras! In this travel-themed solitaire game, players need to place their cards in numerical order in alternating suits to win. Look out for the "bonus" cards to increase your score.


First Class Game Play
The object of First Class Solitaire is to move all of the cards from the table and the deck into one of the four "foundation" piles at the top of the screen.

Solitaire with Style
New cards of the same suit are added to the foundation in ascending sequence; A,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,J,Q,K. Sort all 52 cards into the correct piles and win the game!

Bonus Cards
Hidden among the standard playing cards are four BONUS cards, one for each of the four suits. When placed on a foundation pile, the BONUS card reveals a special score multiplier.

Score Tokens
All shuffles and deals of the cards are completely random. If you are unable to remove all of the cards from the table, begin a new game, and collect all the tokens you've won from the previous game.

Solitaire Basics
At the beginning of the game, seven stacks of cards are laid out on the table with the top card in each pile face up. The first stack has one card (face up), the second stack pile has two cards (one card face up, one card face down), until the seventh stack has seven cards with only the top card face up.

Following Suit
You can click and drag cards between the stacks. The cards must be placed in alternate color order and always in descending sequence (a black 8 can only be placed on a red 9). When you drag a card into position, the top card of the stack will highlight to indicate which locations are legal moves. Sequences of stacked cards can be moved in this manner as well by clicking and dragging the top card in the sequence.

Build a Foundation
You can also move cards to one of the four "foundation" piles. Beginning with the Ace of the matching suit, each foundation pile is built from an ascending sequence of cards; A,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,J,Q,K. A card can be moved to the correct foundation pile by automatically double-clicking on it. If it is the next card in the sequence, it will move to the correct pile. BONUS cards can also be moved by double-clicking them.

Solitaire Scoring
Find and move the BONUS cards to the foundation piles to win tokens. When a BONUS card is placed on a foundation pile, the token multiplier is activated. Any card played in that foundation pile (before or after the BONUS card is placed) is worth the number of tokens on the multiplier. Below each foundation pile is a window that shows the current score for that pile. At the bottom of the screen, the score window shows the total score for the game.

Solitaire Basics
Try to clear as many cards from the table as you can before drawing new cards from the deck.

Following Suit
Don't play three cards in a row from the deck. That way, the next time you go through the deck you'll see different cards. You can move cards out of the foundation pile if you need to. You'll lose any tokens you have won for the card so far, but it may help you complete a sequence.

Build a Foundation
Don't be greedy. If you play just to collect BONUS cards you probably won't be able to clear the table and win the game.

Solitaire Scoring
If it looks like you can not finish the game, move as many cards and BONUS cards to foundation as possible to maximize your token payout.

First Class Solitaire Game Controls
  • New Game: Click "New Game" when there are no more cards you can move and your game is over. You will collect any tokens that you won and start over with a new set of cards.
  • Undo: Clicking "Undo" will reverse your last move, if the move did not reveal a new card.
  • Deck: Click on the deck to deal three more cards to the table. If there are less than 3 cards, only the remaining cards will be dealt to the table.
  • Restack Arrow: When you have used all the cards in the deck, an arrow will appears. Clicking the arrow will restack the deck. You may restack the deck as many times as you like.
  • Finish: When all the cards have been placed face up on the table, the "Finish" button will appear. Clicking this button will automatically move all the cards from the table to the correct foundation pile.
  • Sound: Clicking this button to turns sounds on or off in the game.

I just came back to pogo and bought a years membership. I cannot play more then one game after the other. For instance in Solitaire (First Class) I can only play one game then have to exit and come back to play another. It asks me if I want to close existing game after I cannot play another card and I hit yes. It used to reload another game years ago. I put the latest java on and still does not reload. What am I doing wrong.

I have had the same issue ... until I discovered the "full screen" option. It's a button towards the upper right corner. It zooms the game up to full screen (including chat side-bar) and it makes the cards easier to read.

I agree that the font Pogo uses in this game makes it very hard to see the card numbers and suits clearly. It's the only card game (that I know of) with this problem. Very frustrating!!

Go back to the game and play again. See if your progress picks up from where you left off. Check the chat portion of the game after you finish the next game. You can also click on the Challenges Tab underneath the game and see if your progress shows over there.

First Class Solitaire • Lost connection and lost credit for card count

This morning while I was doing the First Class Solitaire challenge, I was thrown out completely off of Pogo.com, and when I returned to the home page, I was without the 433 cards that I have had previously had credit for. Yes it was activated otherwise, how would I have known the count?

That is an option that may help but Protected Mode is a good security feature.
I have Protected Mode checkmarked and I'm not having any problems loading games in Firefox.
Look in your plug ins and make sure that you have "Always Activate" instead of "Ask To Activate" next to Shockwave Flash.

"Protection mode on" is the default setting for the newest Firefox update. I could not load several flash games until I unchecked the box in plugin options in the browser. Haven't had a problem since. Hope this helps

You're score is determined by the multipliers underneath the 4 foundation stacks.

Just wondering. Is it possible to score 220 points without a jackpot spin. I've won at least a dozen games so far. None even close to 220 points.
