Want to earn higher scores in this awesome Puzzle game? Here are some tips and tricks to help you along the way!

  • Watch carefully at the start of each game to make sure you're working toward your goal, whether it be filling orders or just earning one Star before running out of moves.
  • Plan out your moves! It's not always the best strategy to clear out the most cookies in a single move.
  • If you see a group of cookies that can connect to another group of the same cookie type, it usually pays to remove the group in the middle to make a larger group.
  • Pay attention to the direction your connecting line is pointed when you match a group of 7 or more cookies, as that will determine which special cookie you make.
  • If you can connect up to 9 cookies, you might want to only connect 7 of them to make a special cookie and then leave the other two in place to use it on the next move.
  • The Angry Bear adds obstacles to the playfield each turn you don't give him at least part of his order.
  • Remove cookies that are next to obstacles to remove them.
  • In any level that has an obstacles that replace cookies, it only happens when you make a move that doesn't remove at least one of the obstacles.
  • Getting cupcakes to fall to the bottom of the screen can be really tricky! Make sure to plan ahead and have space below them to fall into when making moves.

You must win the level for the progress to count. Game loading issues are another matter. Try another browser. Make sure you allow pop-ups and flash and flash is up to date. Good luck everyone !!

Thanks. Another question - I bought a badge where I am supposed to serve 500 choc chip cookies. What level do I need to go to win specific cookies?

For levels that ask for points check the meter on the left, you get to the required goal when it hits the first star.

Many levels give you no idea what they want you to do to win. One level said I needed 5000 points but there is no way to check and see how you are doing. No meter or anything.

It was a Payday FreeCell Badge called "Art Lovers". Go to the Payday Freecell game and click on the "Challenges" tab below the game. Look down in the Mix-n-Match Challenges section, you should find it there.

bunker63 wrote:Cannot get 3 stars on 270, any suggestions????
THANKS

Hello Bunker, I just went back and played the level a couple times to see what worked for me. On the first attempt the board was a disaster and for the first half of the game I could only make small matches. Needless to say I did not get 3 stars. The 2nd game the board was much better and I achieved 3 stars easily scoring over 12,000 points. That is not to brag at all but to emphasize that the board and the fall of the cookies is really the key. So if you're stuck making a bunch of small choppy moves, you might want to hit new game... or if you're like me you'll play it out just to get the practice and to see if a miracle will happen..

So after the opening move (which makes a gap in the vertical rows of cookie jars) the move I focused on first was making a vertical arrow that would match/connect to the cookie that fell into that gap so I could take out that whole (vertical) row of cookie jars. And I kept doing that, eliminating smaller groups of cookies along the way so that bigger groups would "fall together" to get the power ups I needed that would match/connect to whatever cookie that happened to be in a gap between cookie jars, or butters. (If it was a horizontal row I'd make a horizontal power-up.) The butters are pretty easily taken care of for the most part with your moves during the game.

When I couldn't get that "match in the gap", I just kept making power ups wherever I could but not randomly. When I had a grouping of 7 or more cookies ( with more cookies get you higher points) I'd study the board and decide which type of power up had the most potential to help me meet the goal. So I'd run the cursor over the cookies counting as I go, without clicking on them to see which direction I wanted to go and which power-up I wanted to make and where I wanted the power up placed. And of course you make power-ups wherever you can even if they won't hit any targets, just look for the strategic ones first when faced with a choice. I used a star power-up to take out 2 jars that were left in the center of the board, near the bottom. So stars can be useful too But I mostly used arrows for this one. What it comes down to is you have to have a good board. After that it's a matter of planning your moves to get the power-ups you need in just the right places and making as many power-ups as you can to boost your score after the goals are met. That's all I can come up with at the moment, I hope it helps. Good luck :!:

Cookie Connect • Re: not a fan....

Like some of the posts I've read here in the forums, in the beginning I was not a fan of this game. It just wasn't my cup of tea, or so I thought. As has been stated the "How To Play" needs a complete overhaul, as it is almost useless. I was near giving up on the game several times. Then by accident I came across instructions on how to make the power-up cookie that I wanted- (Blog maybe??) Until that point I thought they were completely random, I never knew whether I would get a star or an arrow. That helped a lot, knowing what move to make to get the power up I wanted.

Then I hit level 59. Was ready to call it quits again there after 100's of attempts with no luck. As a last ditch effort I went to the forums for the first time. It was there I discovered that you could just start a new game over and over again till you got a "board" that had possibilities AND that you could win the level WITHOUT buying power-ups. (Thank you pnutbeagle!) That got me through level 59!

Got majorly stuck on one more level, right around 99, 100.... not sure which. Again about ready to give up.Like many of you have stated, the game seems designed to encourage strongly the use of gems to continue play or to purchase power-ups! But like many of you, I REFUSE to spend to play. I eventually got through and after that I really began to relax and just enjoy the game. When I needed help I went to the forums and learned some very helpful things there. Like how the purple icing works. If you make a move that touches one (takes it out) it doesn't grow. If you make a move that doesn't touch one, it grows. It will not grow into an empty space. It will not move diagonally. These little tidbits were very helpful.

I also got stuck a couple of times at gates and had to go back and replay levels to earn the stars. Sometimes it took days, weeks even. But at this point I was taking my time and enjoying the "challenge". And guess what? I made it through! I just finished level 300 today with 872/900 stars. 21 out of those 28 stars that I am missing are from level 100 and below. So it would seem to me that it does get easier in some ways as you progress. The challenges may increase in difficulty, but they are more doable when you get the right board. Even when I failed a level, I felt it was possible to do and kept trying. Where as on some of the early levels I was just ready to quit because it felt impossible. And now I can't wait to see what the next levels will bring. So ... if you have the time.... and the patience.... and the desire.... it is entirely doable WITHOUT spending one gem. This was my experience... hopefully an encouragement to some.
Good luck to you all and Happy gaming! :)

NhRodney wrote:Personally, I don't think it's a good idea to use gems to open the gate anyway. This just helps insure that you are going to need to do that with future gates too, since you are going to just keep being behind. I say it's best to keep working on getting enough stars to open the gates. I suppose if you are only one or two stars away, it doesn't perpetuate it TOO much if you spend gems to open it.
Thank you for your positive reply. I need to earn over 100 stars...will keep plugging away!
