Claire Hart: Secret in the Shadows is divided into Cases, Episodes and Chapters. Pick the episode you want to play, then work through each chapter. Some cases might contain multiple episodes, or just one.
Your progress through each episode is automatically saved once you complete a chapter. You can see your progress in each episode in the Episode Selection screen.
Use the PLAY and PLAY AGAIN buttons to start any episode.
Claire keeps important note about the people she has met, case developments and more in her Journal. If you need a quick refresher on the case and your goals, take a look!
At the bottom of the screen, you’ll see the Object List. This list tells you which objects you need to find in the scene. Every chapter has 12 objects to find. You can find them in any order you want.
In some chapters, Claire needs to find a special Story Object critical to her investigation. Upon completing a chapter, Claire will refer to the story object(s) in dialogue and share any insights she gains from them.
Be on the lookout for Multi-Part Objects that have to be put back together, like a phone charger and cord, or two halves of a locket. You must find both parts to clear a multi-part object from your object list.
Look for any areas of a scene with a green glow. Finding them opens a Picture-in-Picture Scene – like the inside of a drawer, safe, closet or chest. You’ll need to open these up to find additional objects.
Every object you find charges up your Combo Meter. The higher your Combo Meter climbs, the more points you get for each subsequent object you find. The Combo Meter decreases quickly, so try to keep those streaks going!
Look for Claire’s Golden Key in every chapter. Pogo players get 100 bonus points for finding it, while Club Pogo Members get 500 bonus points.
Claire can use her Psychic Sensor ability to hone in on a hidden object. The closer you get, the faster her heart beats. Once used, it will take some time to recharge.
Claire can also use her Hint ability to quickly find an object.
If you want to make the most of your Combo Meter, the Time Freeze ability slows it down. This gives you more time to find objects while still building up your Combo Meter and getting more points.
If you’re on a roll and don’t want the fun to stop, the Clairevoyance ability adds six additional objects to your list to find.
At the end of each scene, you’ll get a Star Rating based on your performance. The Star Rating is based on how fast you completed the scene, your score, the number of mis-clicks and more. Play fast and accurate to get a perfect 5 stars in each scene.
In some cases and episodes, Claire’s friends and family take center stage. Don’t be surprised if Claire’s niece Harper or husband Troy take the lead every now and then.

- Try working from top to bottom, or inside to outside when scanning for objects.
- Memorize the locations of a few objects form your list at once, then find them in rapid succession to increase your Combo Meter and get more points.
- Sometimes the object you’re looking for might be hidden within a drawer, closet or other container. Look for a glowing green outline to open up a “Picture-in-Picture” scene.
- Make sure to find the Golden Key in every scene to get more points.

Also, what's up with the Epilogue? It doesn't load anything except a closeup of Troy's chest and a question from Will, "What do you think of this, Troy?" That's why we have a "skip" button for players. I think of the story as a sort of icing on the cake; if you want to play the game because you just love hidden object games or badges or you like the scenes in general but don't care a bit for the story, there's nothing wrong with that whatsoever! Never feel bad about the way you play & enjoy a game on Pogo if that's what's working for you. There are a few games that I play on Pogo myself that I enjoy in ways other people don't seem to and I figure hey, that's okay! Whatever works.  The journal is that book in the lower left corner. It's normally grayed out and not clickable, but if it has an update (usually about once per episode, maybe twice) it'll "shake" and become its normal colors (reddish-pink). I don't necessarily summarize the story much in there, I'll usually give a little inside detail (like instead of having Claire say 'I've known will since...." in the story itself, that's where she can say something about where Will works and how she knows him or what-have-you). I hope people do enjoy Sara because we'll see much more of her in later cases. I was wondering what people would think about what happened with Jonathan but since he never seemed like such a great guy... |

There's one other, more subtle "fix" I wanted to talk about. Many players are noting that it seems like some objects are a bit too small and are sometimes a bit harder to find. This is information I've relayed to our art team as they make scenes for the game, and we'll be making sure that we make a better effort to balance that out in scenes. Thank you so much for all of your feedback; I do read every word even if I'm not able to respond directly to each person. Hearing more about the journal from folks is really helpful. A lot of my early journal entries are a little light on information solely because I wanted to see how you responded before I started utilizing it more. I think based upon your feedback, I might start providing a little more information moving forward (not novel-length, of course!). Again, clicking/reading the journal is totally optional, just like you can skip dialogue if you like, but it seems like people are generally finding it somewhat interesting.

Wondering if it is just me of is it happening to every one.. 
I even found all the gold keys! I had no problem with objects being hidden by the large screen. Most importantly, I now know who framed Troy!!! 
lol but I'm still trying to decide if Im going to buy more episodes or not. But I can always replay the first episode
