Boggle Bash is just like the original Boggle word game you know and love but redesigned with a fun Pogo twist. Instead of playing against each other like in traditional Boggle, Boggle Bash is a multiplayer cooperative word game. Everyone who is present in a particular game room are all playing and contributing to the shared room goal. To mix things up, players are separated randomly and as evenly as possible onto 1 of 4 game “tables” where a total of 5 players share and play the same Boggle cube. This works out to be a maximum of roughly 20 Players per game room.
During the games (3 rounds of 3 minutes), the players make words by selecting the letters in the Boggle Bash dice tray. Players can click the letters, click and drag across letters to select words or type in the letters on the keyboard to create words. Clicking the right mouse button, the enter key or the "Submit" button on the game screen submits the word. The Boggle dice tray can be rotated to get a different perspective on the letters. Rotate the tray by clicking one of the rotate buttons in the lower corners of the dice tray with the mouse or type the < left or right > arrow keys.

Scoring:
Per the original word game, scoring for each word is based on the number of letters in the word.
3 and 4 letter words count for 1 point
5 letter words are worth 2 points
6 letter words are worth 3 points
7 letter words are worth 5 points
Words of 8 or more letters are worth 11 points

For the purposes of scoring "Qu" counts as two letters, even though the two letters are on the same cube. When using the keyboard, you can type "Q" then "U" as you normally would then continue typing letters in the word. You do not have to adjust the way you spell the word to account for the combined "Qu" letter die.

Unique words found by a player result in additional point bonuses. A point multiplier increases every round (up to 3X) through the third round. Points are converted to tokens at the end of the round so that the more points you earn, the more tokens you get.

Here are some additional pointers designed to help you become a more advanced Boggle Bash player.

Clicking the rotate buttons in the lower corners of the Boggle dice tray gives you a new perspective on the game board.

You earn extra points and tokens for words only you find, these are referred to as "unique words".

When using the mouse, you can click OR click and hold while dragging across letters with your mouse to make words, right click submits the word.

When using the keyboard, type the letters; <~ and ~> Arrow keys rotate the Boggle dice tray; the enter key submits words.

The sort button shows you the words you entered either alphabetically or in the sequence you entered them.

Panic Flip:
The Panic Flip scrambles the letters in the Boggle Bash dice tray for the last minute of the last round. This is not a full dice reshuffle but rather a randomized swapping of the letters on the board. This makes word combinations that might have been almost possible for the first 2 minutes of the game now possible in the last minute of the last round.

Room Goal:
The players will be presented with one of the following room goals.
  • Collect a total of x points - "Points" in this context means typical Boggle points based on word length (1 point for 3 and 4 letter words, 2 for 5, 3 for 6, etc.)
  • Find a total of x words
  • Find a total of x words of y-or-more letters!

By vane jarekjh » May 28th, 2015, 3:32 am

Winning a round is not a matter of how many total words you find.
You win the round if you (and your team when playing with other persons) complete the " Group Goal". It's different each round and can be something like find 5 6-letter words or make X number of words, or make X amoung of points, etc.
For instance I just played one game and the goal was Make 7 words of 4 or more letters! ( I was alone in the room)
You can see a metter filling on top of the grid, it's a blue bar that fills up.

Boggle Bash • Reports that I usually lose no matter how many words I make.

By mryfrn72 » May 28th, 2015, 3:17 am

No matter how many words I make, it usually says that I lost that round. I know that I got enough words with enough letters. Sometimes I only get 12 to 20 words, the it says I won. What is with that.

Also, sometimes or most of the time, I play a lone.

Mine's been stuck at 203 since the change was made to show the scores. So annoying.

Everything resets to zero when you reset the stats, including the panic flips.

By DButtrfly05 » May 17th, 2015, 1:06 pm

I know that when I reset my stats all goes back to the beginning, but I would like to know if the panic flips reset also. I would like to reset but I don't want my panic flips to go back to zero.

Thank you!

My high score hasn't worked in months. It is stuck at 155 and I've had many rounds over 200. I posted about it once before and never got a reply.

Mine is also stuck and I don't know for how long. I'm at 108 and I have played many games much higher than that. Been playing since I first started Pogo. Is there a fix for this problem? Thank You!

You still gets the points, If you look at your tokens you will see that it's added into your score.

The score counter for words found seems to "lock up" frequently...so no score is given even though the win criteria was met. I've done all the necessary cookie checks, history dumps etc and cant seem to correct the problem..
What do you suggest.
Thank you

You're welcome. :)
One more thing that is very important is to make sure your browser's zoom is set at exactly 100 percent.
While you are on your home page, hold down the CTRL key and the Zero key (above the P on your keyboard) at the same time. That will reset your zoom to 100 percent.
Try the game after resetting your zoom and see if that helps.

Thank you for the reply.

I've tried all those and still get white screen that NEVER loads ... or sometimes does. At the white screen times I wait and wait and can see other players on the list, but nothing happens for me even after 20 seconds or more.

But Scrabble is my favorite anyway, so if Boggle loading continues to be a headache, I'll stick with Scrabble!

The screen will be white for about 3 seconds and then the game loads. It is working fine for me with Firefox and Internet Explorer.

Have you cleared your browser's cache, history, temp files and cookies lately? When you do, make sure "Preserve Favorite Website Data" is left unchecked. Close your browser after that and now clear your Flash cache:

Close your browser. Go to Start > Control Panel > Click on Flash Player or type in "Flash Player" in the "Search Control Panel box" > Storage > Click the "Delete All" button > Make sure the "Delete All Site Data and Settings" is checked > Delete Data. Restart your browser.

If the game still won't load after clearing your caches maybe one of these will help you:

Sign out of Pogo and sign back in again. That usually works.
Right click on the word Start and choose to open the game in a new window.
Refresh the page ( F5)
Try a different browser to see if you have better results.

Also see the thread below. It will show you how to adjust your Flash settings:

Flash Player

I hope that helps you.

Thanks for the reply...

When I click on Boggle, I can often see others players (or just me), but the game does not load.

Screen remains white.

So I try again by clicking on Boggle and the next time it loads just fine.

Very erratic. Sometimes works, sometimes does not. Not so with other games.

In fact, you and I were paired the other day for Boggle (by chance) and the game wouldn't load for me.
