Pogo Recipe: Peanut Butter Blossoms
Makes 2 1/2 Dozen Cookies
Ingredients:
| 1/2 Cup | Shortening |
| 1/2 Cup | Peanut Butter |

| 1/2 Cup | Sugar (Granulated) |
| 1/2 Cup | Brown Sugar (Packed) |
| 1 tsp | Baking Powder |
| 1/8 tsp | Baking Soda |
| | |
| 1 | Egg |
| 2 Tbsp | Milk |
| 1 tsp | Vanilla |
| | |
| 1 3/4 Cups | All-Purpose Flour |
| | |
| 1/4 Cup | Sugar (Granulated) |
| 1 Bag | Chocolate Kisses |
Preheat Oven to: 350 Degrees Fahrenheit
Instructions:
- Beat shortening and peanut butter in a large bowl at medium speed for about 30 seconds.
- Add granulated sugar (1/2 Cup), brown sugar, baking powder, and baking soda.
- Continue to beat batter until everything is thoroughly mixed.
- Add egg, milk, and vanilla, beat again until well combined.
- Add flour gradually, continuing to beat as added.
- If batter is very sticky, refridgerate dough for 30 minutes.
- Using your hands, roll the dough into 1-inch balls.
- Roll each ball in granulated sugar to cover completely
- Place balls 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet.
- Bake for 10 to 12 minutes at 350°F or until edges are firm and bottoms are lightly browned.
- While cookies are baking, unwrap the chocolate kisses from their foils.
- While still hot, press a chocolate kiss into the middle of each cookie.
- Transfer to wire racks and let cool.
