Pogo Recipe: Mississippi Mud Cake

Icing Ingredients:
1/2 Cup Evaporated Milk
1/3 Cup Cocoa
1 tsp Vanilla
1/2 Cup (1 Stick) Butter or Margarine
1 Box Powdered Sugar
Icing Instructions:
  1. Mix milk, cocoa, vanilla, and butter together until well blended.
  2. Gradually add powdered sugar while mixing until the icing is smooth.


Cake Ingredients:
2 Tbsp Cocoa
1 1/2 Cups Flour
2 Cups Sugar
2 Sticks Butter or Margarine (softened)
1 1/2 Cups Chopped Pecans
4 Eggs
1 tsp Vanilla
Preheat Oven to: 350 Degrees Fahrenheit
Cake Instructions:
  1. Mix all ingredients by until well blended.
  2. Grease and flour a cake pan.
  3. Pour batter into the cake pan and bake for 30-40 minutes at 350°F.
  4. Remove from oven.


Topping Ingredients:
1 Jar Marshmallow Cream
Additional Pecans for Decoration
Topping Instructions:
  1. While the cake is still hot, pour the marshmallow cream over it.
  2. Cover the marshmallow cream with icing.
  3. Use a fork or knife to make streak marks through the icing down to the marshmallow cream.
  4. Optionally add pecan to the top for decoration.
