Pogo Recipe:
French Cherry Clafoutis Cake
Serves 4-6 Guests
Ingredients:
1 Lb
Black Cherries (washed and dried off)
1/2 Cup
Flour
1 Pinch
Salt
1/2 Cup
Sugar (granulated)
3
Eggs (lightly beaten)
1 1/2 Cups
Whole Milk
Butter and Granulated Sugar to coat the Baking Dish
Powdered Sugar (to decorate)
Preheat Oven to:
350 Degrees Fahrenheit
Instructions:
Wash and dry the black cherries. Remove the stems and pits and set aside.
Sift the flour into a large bowl and add a pinch of salt
Stir in the granulated sugar
Beat eggs together in a separate bowl and then stir into the flour mixture.
Stir milk into the flour mixture.
Using granulated sugar, butter and sugar the baking dish.
Spread black cherries evenly across the bottom of the baking dish.
Pour the batter over the top of the cherries.
Bake for 35-40 minutes at 350°F.
Allow to cool.
Sprinkle powdered sugar over the top and serve at room temperature.
